Spanish School:

Our Spanish School is located in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca in the heart of the beautiful Pacific Coast of Mexico.

Spanish Courses:

• Beginning Spanish   Students at this level will be able to formulate and understand short sentences relating to basic needs, greetings, survival spanish.
• Intermediate Spanish   The student will be able to express desires, feelings, sometimes very slowly, but usually spontaneously in everyday situations.
• Advanced Spanish   The student will have an advanced communication ability, and sharp listening, and writing skills. Communication without difficulties.
• Specialized Spanish and History Courses   Mexican History, Latinamerican History and local history
• Personalized Spanish Programs   These programs are tailor made for individual needs, you design your program with the number of hours, days, professors, activities and workshops you prefer. For visitors who come to Puerto Escondido for only a short time, every week we have something going on like excursions, books presentations, fairs, short trips, etc.

Study materials:

The school provides all study materials and they are not expensive. Students can purchase them the first day of class. We recommend that you bring an English-Spanish dictionary. Throughout the course you will receive all the study materials you need. Each day you will have to do homework to reinforce what your learn on that day.

Housing:

The best way to improve and reinforce your Spanish skills and obtaining a profound understanding of the Mexican culture is by staying with our Mexican Families. They are so caring and willing to help with anything they can that you will realize you learn a lot from them. You also will discover that you bring something unique to them.

It is important to emphasize that families go through an extensive selection process that takes into account students´ characteristics and preferences.

Volunteer oportunities:

This multidisciplinary program is for people interested or already involved in some careers that will help them strengthen their abilities for a positive social change.

Working as a volunteer/intern in Puerto Escondido offers a unique opportunity for professional development as well as personal enrichment.   You not only become part of a cultural exchange on a personal, community and international level, but you gain new skills and perspectives. 

We have a variety of unpaid placements in the areas of  Communication, Social Work, Education, Health Care, ESL instruction, Psychology, International Relations and other fields.   While working with NGO´s and private businesses you will acquire cultural awareness, sharpen your Spanish skills and obtain international work experience, all valuable assets in this globalized world.
